Benzyl Benzoate USP is clear, colorless, oily liquid having a slight aromatic odor.

The freezing point of BENZYL BENZOATE USP is 18 - 21 °C (64 - 70 °F). It will begin to liquefy at 18 °C (64°F).

 

Product is not affected by cycling between freezing and thawing conditions as long as label directions are followed.

 

Product can be left at room temperature or in a controlled-temperature water bath or a hot box set to 50°C (122°F) to thaw. Gently stir or tumble the container to ensure it is homogenous.

 

It is recommended to use the minimum amount of heat necessary to thaw the product. It is also advised not to perform direct heating to higher temperatures.
