Ascorbic Acid USP/EP ranges from white to slightly yellow in colour, and comes either as crystals or powder in texture. The product is light-sensitive and on exposure to light will gradually darken. In the dry state, Ascorbic Acid is reasonably stable in air but in solution it rapidly oxidizes.

 

If using for sterile preparation, ensure further processing and testing.
